The Chemistry Department at the University of Utah has worked hard to develop a curriculum that provides a firm foundation for advanced study in chemistry. Our faculty is consistently recognized by national and international awards. We are generally ranked among the top 15% of graduate programs around the country, and federal funding for research is among the top five public institutions nationwide.
Topics include reactions of organic molecules, shapes of molecules, and spectroscopic methods of identifying organic molecules.
